Scope: World Technology Partners, an independent financed LLC, headquartered outside of Princeton, NJ is a two-year-old organization whose mission is to promote technology around the world through development of informational, programming and educational resources. These efforts will highlight the increasing research, collaboration and opportunities throughout the world for future generations. In the past two years we have developed two on-going projects, both competitions that work primarily with undergraduate, graduate and doctorate students in showcasing their work in technology and the sciences. We would like to develop a third effort which will focus specifically on an industry (public health) that spans a number of systems and needs. In other countries, research on public health, While sometimes threatened, is prolific and thorough, but in challenged economies, efforts in this field are slowly growing. It is envisioned that the economically challenged countries can benefit from evidence that is contextually relevant to inform policy and program development and we will attempt to share this information with them through proving visibility to these solutions.
Given that these countries may face significant challenges on global issues and most of all change comes from a local level, we would like to focus on students that have significant experience in following regions: Africa, Asia, the Caribbean and Central America, Eastern Europe, the Mid-East and South America. Our goal is to have those students selected to present on two webinars, one for Asia and one for the Americas, Europe and Africa audiences. These would be on Monday, April 7th and Thursday, April 10th in relation to the United Nations’ World Health Day. Criteria for selection will align to the WHO Goals. We would also like focus on student’s economic needs as well.
Accepted presenters will be provided with a seven minute presentation slot to make a concise presentation of their submission. In addition, there will also be a three minute slot for questions (either live or written) by audience members. Each presenter will submit one 20 word abstract (for marketing purposes) a, for review by the selection committee. These questions and subsequent answers should address the premise of the problem, process or implementation of a solution and the take-aways that could be observed.
Each submission will be reviewed by the selection committee of professional public health representatives and educators. Honorariums will be presented to those selected (a total of six) honorariums in the amounts of $500, (first place) $250 (second place) and $125 (third place) in US Dollars. A signed agreement detailing this, intellectual property rights (author controlled) and marketing terms must be signed in advance. World Technology Partners will control rights of re-broadcast of the webinar recording and the listing on our website for 6 months, through the end of October, 2025. In addition to monetary reimbursement honorees will also receive visibility on the World Technology Partners website and a Certificate for each member of the team.Additional information on the submission process will be available at the following link: https://www.worldtechnologypartners.net/2025projects
